Central West Florida

Central West Florida is home to some of the most beautiful state parks in Florida. One of our favorites is Alafia River State Park.   This park is located on the banks of the Alafia River and offers campsites, cabins, and a group camp area. It has many off-road biking trails, some of which are the most challenging in Florida. It also has miles of hiking as well as opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing.

Another great option in this region is Anclote Key Preserve State Park, located off the coast of Tarpon Springs. This park is a barrier island and boasts some of the best shelling, boating, and fishing in Florida!  It also offers camping on primitive sites with no water or electricity (but there are bathrooms).
